Auto Biography

      With nearly 30 years of active architectural design, contract document and construction administration experience, Efren Ruiz  managing member of Stewart Construction has certainly earned a name for himself. Trained and educated by some of the finest commercial and residential architects in Arizona, he continues to strive to improve his product base and services and to take them to a whole different level. Efren's keen ability to blend structural design constraints and architectural design sensitivity to the environment has allowed him to develop a unique production/design style which can be clearly exemplified in his work.

      A valley resident since 1981 with humble beginnings working with Mike S. Enriquez & Company, Hemsley Lee & Associates, Rolf Olaf Osland (r.i.p.) and P.E Buchli and Associates, Dan Brodsky, Linderoth & Associates where all drafting was performed by hand.

     In search of commercial architectural experience, Efren became all to familiar with "ink on mylar manual drafting" which was the "technique" of the day working for such firms as W.W.Witte Architect (r.i.p.), Neslen Architects International, Inc., Allen & Philp Architects, Inc., Ahern, McVittie and Hoffman Architects, Peter Lendrum and Assoc. among others. He made the transition into the residential design shortly after computers became the method of production in 1990. He began providing architectural production & design services to recognized residential design firms such as Alexander Homes in Rio Verde and Architecture Plus, Ltd.,  Douglas Fredrickson Architects, SBC Custom Homes, Allen Tafoya and Bob Bacon, Craig Wickersham and David J. Wade, Architect. 

     Other professional affiliations include, Mark Williams at Image West, Jeff Bottoms, Robert Brown Architect, Ron Brissette, Erston Senger, Joe Carlo Jr, Dan Couturier, Jon Cowles, Arizona Structural Group (Bruce Demari), Chris Harrison (Whisper Rock) , Clay Scrivner, Graham Engineering and Surveying, Randy Romero, Craig  E. Brown, Hector Ramirez, Ram Gangadean, Dolly Triviz, Jon Berhard (Swaback), Bob Gulino (civil) and Greg Zimmerman.

     Present day, Efren serves as Managing Member of Stewart Construction., which is a company devoted to offering supreme value in construction to property land owners, developers and non-profit organizations by providing exceptional architectural and construction services. He remains registered in the State of Arizona at the State Board of Technical Registration as Architect I.T. #00750 since 1987. His continued education includes 1983-1985 ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY College of Business Administration and 1985-1988 WESTERN INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY Masters Program in Business Administration.
