WEBSITE DESIGN FAQ's
What is (SEO) Search Engine Optimization?
Search engine optimization is a method of getting your website to rank higher in
the major search engines—such as Google, Yahoo or Bing to increase your search
rankings. When Internet users search for your products or services, your website
needs to be the first one they find.
SEO helps the search engines recognize your relevance to specific
keywords that people search for online. The search engine optimization process
includes researching keywords, creating content, building links and making sure
your website is visible in the search engines.
The basic cost of SEO services (online) could be range from $500 - $2500 per
month. Don't believe it? Click here to see for yourself
Outrageous prices
. A good question to ask them would be, "If your SEO submission is so good to
cost so much, then why isn't your company listed #1?"
We believe that much or SEO is a rip off and a scam. Don't
ever believe the "click once and submit to Google, Yahoo and Bing" because it doesn't
work this way. Security and privacy are big issues for the Top 3. New accounts need to be opened, emails
answered to confirm, encryption, etc. Also code text that the SE sees needs to
be embedded in the HTML of the web page, otherwise the SE will not see your site
and by pass it. There is a proper way to accomplish all of this. At CDS Web
Design we will provide optimization of your website content and this SEO service.
Once submitted to search engines, how long will it
take?
In order to upload your website to the top three, we must start by opening an
accounts with each one. Email links need to be created and in place for
verification purposes. Once this process is complete, the following would be
considered a realistic timeline:
•
Website Submission, Day 1
We submit your
web site to these search engines
once the website is launched.
•
Website Submission, Week 1
The search engines will have sent a spider
to verify the existence of your domain and website during this time period. We
will verify that the search engine visited your website by checking your website
log files (in the accounts that were opened), or by typing your domain name into the search engine search box. If
the search engine has visited your site, you should see a bare minimum search
engine results listing. You may only see your domain name and no additional
information. If the search engine did not visit your website, we will check back in
another week it should have visited by then.
•
Website Submission,
Week 2-3
During this time, the search engine will
begin to index your web pages. It will visit each page and bring the contents of
your website into the search engine database. You will begin to see your website
pages slowly being brought into the search engine listings a page or two at a
time.
•
Website Submission,
Week 4
You will begin to see your website listed in
the search engine results pages. This is where you begin to seriously watch your
search engine placement. Your placement will vary wildly during this time
period, it's a normal process for the search engines.
Your search engine listings should begin to stabilize during this time,
and you can begin to optimize and add new content a few pages at a time. By this
point you should be well on your way to a steady search engine listing
visibility.
Does my business need to be computer-based in order to have
a website? Do I need to know about computers?

business in order to have a website. Many companies do filing, invoicing and
more without a computer. Creating a website is more about exposing your business
to more potential clients and generating new sales and increasing your income. There is no need to overhaul
the way your company does business. We use Microsoft FrontPage software...with
Joomla & WordPress technology coming soon. Stay tuned...

How Does Your Web Design Process Work?
Our mission is to build the best and most cost effective website for your
business. A professionally built website can promote your products and services,
enhance your image, and generate traffic and sales. With that in mind, we will carefully
research your business needs and plan a target market strategy to create the ideal web
solution. Here is a schedule of events:
a) Initial Consultation
Our services begin with a free initial consultation to determine your
requirements. We will work closely with you to
determine your exact needs and desires, and will generate a scope of work itemizing all your requirements. This helps us gather information
about your company, services, audience, purpose, site goals, and more. The consultation step is very important because we are committed to providing
you with solutions that will work for you, not for us! We prefer you contact us
directly for faster service. Our office number is (480)491-4738; Fax
(480)831-9839 Email: CDS-Web@hotmail.com
b) Proposal & Paperwork
After you are confident we have addressed all your ideas, questions, and
requirements, our design services begin. Once you agree, you receive a formal
proposal that contains all of the work that will be performed for you, price and
payment schedule.
c) Payments
We accept Visa and MasterCard. Normally, once the scope of work and number of
web pages have been determined, a retainer of 60% is required. Subsequent draws
shall be made after certain stages of completion are met. Websites are always
previewed online and tweaked as required. At ANY time please contact us about
any concerns, questions or comments you have about your project.
d) Collecting Your Content
You will provide us with the text and any other content for your website and any
specific pictures you would like.
We will need your company profile, contact info, products and services,
brochures, logos, photographs (the more the better), business cards and any
other information you intend to present on your website. Our website design
software supports GIF, JPG, JPEG and TIFF formats. We encourage our clients to
use Microsoft Word to create the content of the site. This way we can cut and
paste into the website program. You can also share PDF documents. We will link
all the pages and create hyperlinks to navigate through out the website. The
more input we receive from you the better able we will be to satisfy your needs
and produce a site that will have the desired look and impact that you want.
It's your website, we want it to look the way you want it. Remember, it is the
quality of the content that makes the website, not the bells and whistles.
e) Web Site Design Phase
After the initial website is laid out, you will be able to review it. We
send you a web link or arrange a meeting to view the "mockup" and ask if you would like any changes.

the website and web pages, incorporating the design and all of the content that
you provide.

After the site is built, you will be able to view all pages to make sure
everything is exactly how you want it. You will submit any desired changes to
the copy and then give final approval before the site goes live.
